Range: Central and west Texas, south to Brazil.

Hosts: Common on Asteraceae flowers.

Similar Species

There are 144 species of Acmaeodera, mostly in the southwestern United States (Arnett et al. 2002). 

Texas Taxa: Over 40 species have been recorded in Texas.
